What do you think about art ?

Do you think art can improve the world, and change the world for the better ?

Or do you think that's another unnecessary pursue that only leads to distraction from the truth ? Another point of reference between you and I, replacing direct connection.

That's an issue that I am battling in my head for as long as I remember myself creating art. And what I do about it, and my type of solution around that so far, is taking long breaks from it and from what I think of as unnecessary creating. (...)

allows us to make physical representations of the intangible, while also a reflection of existence. brings people together across political and material lines, creates a sense of awe & wonder & appreciation of the alone-ness & sense of vastness we all silently acknowledge inside. and sometimes lets us delve into fantasy.

@lovelywarpedlemon a bridge towards manifesting the intangible, or, a bridge between the world of Formation and the world of Ideas. I wonder what Plato would have to say upon it. He gave up art, explaining that it was an imitation of an imitation.
He considered whatever exists, take a table for example, to be an imitation of the idea of the table, existing in an aetheric sphere which he called the world of Ideas. So he considered the carpenter to be the imitator of the idea of the table, and the artist painting a table to be the imitator of the imitator..
