It’s similar to the folk style I always paint in, but she went to art school and I’ve never had an art lesson. I love the frames her husband makes for her.

Pseudo outsider art. There's always a different feeling to art created by a trained artist in the style of folk art or outsider art, as opposed to the real thing.
That said, these are quite nice —colorful and happy with an intriguing sense of depth to the images.
