Favourites

Berthe Morisot, and Mary Cassat are among my favourite painters. Of course I like Van Gogh, Manet, Monet, Degas, Courbet, and countless others of the movement, Cezanne, Pissarro, Braque, and so many others, Matisse! They have made a new fabric in our society, which the next generations are still impacting on.

My favorites are Remedio Varos, Frida Kahlo, Alice Neel, Mucha, Francis Bacon, Judy Chicago, Louise Bourgeois, Picasso, Rene Magritte. I love Matisse’s collage work too. And O’Keeffe’s skulls.

Always nice to see female artists getting some appreciation.
