Can men in England write off escorts as an entertainment expense?

There was an automation engineer from Portsmouth that tried to do that in Singapore and he got sacked. Was wondering if that was considered ok back there.

Definitely not, but HMRC (the tax collection department) does not have the resources to audit most self-assessment accounts, so I'm sure some people do claim this as deductible and get away with it.
