Is it an old fisherman's tale that Carp rarely die of old age?

Is it more likely that they will die from environmental factors?
Predators would be the number one factor. Disease, low oxygen levels in the water, fishing pressures.
I wonder if there has ever been a carp that has reached old age and died from that affliction?
