I've eaten both while I lived on the northern coast of Alaska many years ago.

@DemureDeb barrow? I was there in august 2015.

@AthrillatheHunt About 90 nautical miles from Barrow, an Inupiaq Eskimo village called Wainwright. My husband and I lived there for a year, 2001-02.

What did you think of Barrow?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@DemureDeb I was there in august. It was 38 degrees. And raining . I wanted to do a polar plunge but for the first time in my life I was scared of the sea .
It’s a trippy place.
I spent 8 hours there.

@DemureDeb it sure was. I saw Arctic cotton growing . Thanks to the onshore breeze from both oceans (Arctic and Beaufort ) there’s no mosquitos in barrow .

@AthrillatheHunt I didn't know that there was such a thing as arctic cotton.
The locals joke about the mosquito being the state bird because they're so big.
