Who else misses when our appliances had zero smart features or electronics?

Most of my kitchen and washroom stuff is still pretty simple. The washing machine that had a simple motor driven mechanical switch program finally died after about thirty years. So we bought a second hand one from a house clearance that is about five years old. It has a simple microcontroller, no fancy displays or connectivity. If it lasts ten years more that will be fine. My air fryer (about five years old) has a mechanical thermostat and a clockwork timer, microwave is similar though I suspect there probably is a simple microcontroller inside, it's over forty years old from Moulinex's heyday.

The most sophisticated thing I have in the kitchen is the bread maker which is definitely microprocessor controlled with twelve programs and an LCD display but still no connectivity. It's less than ten years old, bought second hand (100 NOK, 10 USD) because the buttons on the old one have started to misbehave.

Anyway my point is that simple appliances still exist and are still manufactured. You don't have to spend a thousand pounds on a Miele fridge, you can get a simpler and quite likely lower total cost of ownership one for half the price. Ditto washing machines and dryers; get one made by some obscure Italian OEM.

And secondhand appliances are often just as good as brand new.
