Top load vs front load washing machine?

Mine is a top-load. I've had Fisher and Paykel MW-513's twice in the last 20 years with an LG top loader for about a year in the middle.

What is your preference - top load or front load?

Is your machine 'smart' (ie. connected to the internet) or fully standalone?

F&P used to be a New Zealand company sadly the Chinese have bought it out. However they also bought the IP with updates not sure for how long so still a good product. I have a front loader uses way less water.

I have a front-load LG. It's smart capable, but I don't use that function.
