Bought a similar one and I have yet to use it. It has all the features of a KitchenAid mixer and costs less.

Would give a link but it's no longer available. Cost $219.

Must note had super long delay on getting it. Like five months delay and many calls to Amazon.

Yet it's a 8.5 quart mixer.

@DeWayfarer I have noticed a lot of other brands as well and wonder if they were less effective and less durable and long-lived at the Kitchenaids. Kitchenaids would have a higher resale value it if came to that.

@cherokeepatti only difference to me is the name brand and the life time guarantee. For the extra cost I included extra three year protection for $20. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@DeWayfarer What was the brand and model number if you don’t mind sharing it? Sorry I didn’t read that it was discontinued but is the whole brand line discontinued as well? Also go ahead and tell me. I could possibly find one used online and be able to get it.

@DeWayfarer Wow it’s loaded with a blender and meat grinder already.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti compare the number of people and the rating against KitchenAid!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer But they have others such as this.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti I only looked at my order. I didn't check other models.

Heck its now over six months since I ordered it.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer Do you use it often and what have you made with it?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti said at first I have yet to use it.

Need to get a kitchen table and cupboard first. And I still have some large bills to pay that I didn't when I bought it.

Didn't know this landlord would switch to a metered gas company. It was a group utility bill.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer Group gas bill, that means if someone uses a lot they divide the bill up even with the frugal users and make everyone share the total cost?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti yep! And it's still grouped on electric and water.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer someone needs to hire a good lawyer. I don’t think it’s legal to force residents to divvy up a shared bill like it was a group of friends at a restaurant doing that to save the hassle of figuring out the separate costs of individuals.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti it's perfect legal here in this state. Even my old place water and trash was grouped.

That really T'ed me off about the water, because they were always running the sprinklers because they were often broken by the kids.

Sometimes it was weeks before they fixed it. So everyone's water bill soared.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer What state is this? I would call a local lawmaker and report that they are taking advantage and see if that bill can be rescinded.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti this is city dependent. State doesn't matter. Some cities have their own water sources. And some source it out to other companies.

In this city it's sourced out. And getting from the Colorado river project. Again not a state run agency.

Where I was it was sourced from the local mountain lake. Again not run by the city. Many sources, source out to many cities. Like here at least twenty cities. And this is a desert so there is no other source here.

In northern California however even well water is metered.

Water here is a huge issue in the whole state.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer I guess you are fortunate to have a good water supply. There was a man on EP who was hauling water to use for drinking, dishes, cleaning himself because he lived in an area that was out of his budget to buy the water. He would go to somewhere else to use a laundromat, wash his vehicle etc. Heck he could have joined a gym or YMCA and showered every day if it wasn’t too far and probably saved some money too.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti wish I was still back in the mountains. Well water there wasn't metered yet I was charged electricity to pump it. You win in some ways and you lose in some ways. But at least I knew the water was pure.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DeWayfarer I watched a video where a man was living off-grid near a good stream of water. He hooked up a water wheel that generated energy to a long cord to his home and that’s where he got most of his power. Also had solar panels and maybe a propane cook stove.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti that works only as long as it's near a stream. With that you have a problem with flooding. Believe me I knew about flooding in the mountains...
