So many anime characters are inspired by Sun Wukong 🐵

Goku, Luffy (his first name actually being Monkey), Inuyasha, etc. I suppose it isn't too surprising considering Journey to the West is the most popular literary work in East Asia. And one could just as easily say Heracles/Hercules is the archetype for all strong hero characters in the West, like Superman, Hulk, etc.
