Singing to meerkats is one thing. Singing to a tiger with no fences?

@Mindful I think it IS spiritual. When we approach each other with fear, it can lead to violence. Or instead, we can enrich each other.

@bowman81 yes, that’s true. But he didn’t. I don’t know if I have the courage to test those boundaries. Guarded by someone with a cell phone would not quite do it for me, I fear.

@Justmeraeagain I’ve actually been that close to a tiger. I didn’t freak out, but only because I didn’t want to draw his attention.

I couldn’t believe it then and I can’t believe it now. Our vet had a big cat rescue and we took the tour. The cats were homed in the box stalls of a barn, with outdoor access to huge heavily fenced “runs.” During the tour, the vet stopped at a box stall and opened the stall door. The tiger who lived there came out to the open door and the vet talked about him. We were in a barn just feet from an unrestrained tiger. The vet stuck his fist into the tiger’s mouth. To be fair, the tiger didn’t bite him. At least that time.
