Though a spider I once rescued from inside the building, bit me! Not enough to bleed and if it injected any venom that had no effect but it was quite a sharp nip. I learnt later it was "Woodlouse Spider". Named after its favourite food it has particularly strong jaw parts to be able to pierce the woodlouse's chitinour armour.
Snails are easy to pick up by the shell but the slug's mucous is water-resistant and takes a bit of washing off.
