Was it an endangered species? How did he kill it?

@Pinkstarburst he was trying to help it off the road so it wouldn't get run over. then a bunch of people came up and got the animal excited and it bit the guy and wouldn't let go. he kicked it away and it died later. so now a judge is threatening him with jail
