Pets, and the relationships you have with them often facilitated how you treat animals of all kinds! I believe it's true because I love animals and I hate to hear it see anything bad happening to them.

My school allowed kids to interact with rabbits, guinea pigs, domestic rats and mice during recess. We learned how to care for them, with parental permission we got to “foster” during school breaks. One summer I fostered one of the rats. At one point, the rabbits had bunnies, and I was allowed to adopt one, my first pet.
