I Love Animals

My neighbour rescued this tiny mouse from one of my cats just now. It’s got a nasty injury to its back, so I’ve tried the trick of saline water and Manuca honey again - fingers crossed, but I’m not optimistic 😞[image deleted]

Good luck hope the little fella makes it

Not looking good. It’s not moving and just breathing very quickly. Not very hopeful 😞@ExperienceDLT
@Oneofthestormboys that sounds bad but you tried at least

I always feel compelled to try, with some success. These creatures are quite fragile though unfortunately. I know a local lady who treats injured wild birds with medication and rehab, but I don’t want to burden her with this. @ExperienceDLT
@Oneofthestormboys try Neosporin on the cut it might help depends on how deep the cut is

Thanks for the info - I don’t recognise that name - is it American? I’ve put Manuca honey on it, which apparently is a natural antiseptic. @ExperienceDLT
@Oneofthestormboys yes Neosporin is specific for cuts it supposed to make the cut heal faster

@ExperienceDLT Thanks for the tip. This looks more like a gash, and it’s probably got puncture wounds as well, but I don’t want to handle it too much because it’ll probably die of fright.
