I Love Animals
Last year back in April I went out at night. It was raining and we were having flood warnings etc. me being me I felt it was a perfect time to go out to shop at night Lmao! When I was walking in the parking lot of where I lived I spotted something under a car. I thought it was a baby hawk. But it was actually a wild, baby bunny!
It was squeaking and I never knew rabbits squeaked! When I saw the bunny I noticed there was a cat stalking the bunny so I wasn’t gonna have any of that shit. Without thinking I took the baby with me back to the apartment. The bunny never bit or scratched at me. The poor thing was in shock.
The bunny was soaked and I held it so much that it dried up a bit.
I examined the bunny and noticed it’s hind leg was broken. Animal control etc were all closed so I had to find someone to help me. So I found a 24/7 vet. I changed into a hoodie and took the bunny that I nicknamed ‘Peter’ into my front pocket, like a mama kanga 🙂 I called a cab and we were on our way.
We got there and the ladies were shocked at who I brought in. They looked at the bunny and I told them about the hind leg. They only dealt with cats and dogs but thankfully there was a lady that specializes in rabbits so they were gonna help it recover and give it a room to stay in.
The ladies told me that I was a good person for going through the rain and winds to get it somewhere safe and asked me how come I just keep it. Trust me, It was in my thoughts but I stay with my mother and she is at a age she isn’t wanting animals in her place. They notcied how calm and relaxed the bunny was with me. I didn’t save the bunny for the praise and whatnot. I saved the bunny cause it was the right thing to do. I was at the right place at the right time. We should help one another out whether it’s another person or even a animal.
Finally they had the bunny tagged and ready to go in the back to get the medical attention that it needed.
I’ll never forget that night.
