Kangaroo Violence Hits An 87-year High
A man was killed by a Kangaroo, for the first time in 87 years.
College Leftists Create Jew-Free Zones on Berkeley Campus is a headline that fits in the same category.
1. There are no Jew-free zones on the UC Berkeley Campus.
2. This is specifically about Berkeley Law. More specific to a proposal to add language to the bylaws of Berkeley Law student organizations, not to invite “speakers that have expressed and continued to hold views … in support of Zionism, the apartheid state of Israel, and the occupation of Palestine.”
As to how it will be enforced, the bylaw leaves that up to each group, though “suggested strategies can include publicly stipulating [each individual] organization’s position of anti-racism and anti-settler colonialism to speakers, ensuring that proposals for speakers emphasize the organization’s desire for equality and inclusion,” or “informing speakers of the event’s goals and mission values.”
The problem with the language, is that someone, like the dean of Berkeley Law, who is vocally opposed to the state of Israel's apartheid policies, and pro-settler policies, but who supports the right of the state of Israel to exist, will be excluded as a speaker.
The recommendation was adopted by a handful of groups, notable exception is the primary Women Group. The latter, I suspect, is focused on the anti-racism and anti-settler colonialism part.
Bottom line though, is that college leftists are not creating Jewish-Free zones on the Berkeley Campus. Especially when you consider the makeup of Berkeley leftist organizations.
Oh, wait, this should have gone under "How Stupid Do You Have To Be?"
