I was out running in the national park near where i live this afternoon and i had a "Jurassic Park Moment" where a large group of about 50 kangaroos came out of the trees to the right of the track to cross it right where i was standing. So i just stood still and they all went around me, and i fumbled on my phone to try and get a video of it, but the best i got was this photo. It's spring time here so lots of baby kangaroos too.

That seems so exotic when viewed from cloudy old UK. 馃槂 Must have been a wonderful sight, if perhaps causing some apprehension.

@Frank52 Yes i can imagine the difference from here to the cooler UK but it was great to see them. I love the wild life here. I live in the southern State of Victoria which is very safe with regards to wild life in parks etc. It doesn't mean we don't have lots of snakes, but they keep to themselves and it's vary rare to even see one. It's up in the tropical north where it all can be a bit freaky 馃槃
@SW-User I'd love to visit Australia, but I'm not sure I'll be able to now. Riding your long distance trains looks fun but seeing the wildlife which is unique to your continent would be awesome.

@Peaches They love to have fun! I've had them swim up to me when i've been swimming. Once i was in the water and four fins were heading straight towards me. Then they circled me a couple of times then started surfing the next wave that was coming in and i swam after them like... hey you guys wait for me 馃き馃惉
