I feed wild bees in winter during droughts. Amazing creatures.

Its amazing. Once one has found the sugar water mix I put out, within minutes its covered with bees. They consume an incredible amount. What is interesting to me is that I do not fear them when I walk among them to replenish the feed (as a child I was very scared of bees). But I will admit there is nothing as eerie as the sound of bees moving in a swarm. That scares me to the bone.

@darshak89 i dont see many blue wild flowers around here, they are mostly yellow purple pink and white.

@darshak89 i saw some ants feeding on the pollen of a purple thistle looking flower thingy in my backyard the other day! :)

i could only see their thoraxes and a couple legs sticking out. kind of cute
