can't you get it back into the nest?

@Casheyane I'm not sure, but then it doesn't sound like a baby. If it's just a young bird that can fly, take a put, put a lot of toilet paper in there, and let it rest till the shock is gone. And then it will fly away by itself unless it broke a paw or a wing. And if it's that old, it should be able to digest seed. But if it's really small, and it can't fly, then do what Glitter suggested.
Not much more you can do if you don't find the nest, and if it's old enough to fly out, could be it was it's first flight and fell down. Then it's lucky to be alive. You find young dead doves at church towers every year. It's nature, either you do it, or you don't.

@Casheyane Ofcourse dove fly, else mom and dad wouldn't be up there. At some points birds have to fly out. If your mom and dad have chosen to live in a really high building with a straight drop towards a hard surface, well... you better get it right from the first try. A small portion doesnt. Just happens that birds don't get it right in your garden either, then they just lie on the floor till they get up and figure it out. If you have cat, then the bird is going to have a bad time.

@Casheyane Yeah, that's why I said that if it's old enough to fly it might just be a bit in shock. Also happens when a bird smacks to the window. Then it starts breathing heavily and you think it's a gonner. But if you just put it in soft space and let it recover they figure it out and seem good as new. Birds are cool.

@Casheyane Nah, I don't have them for pets. We just had a garden that was full of them. And my dad has some roosters that he used for competion and he's a pigeon racer. I don't know much about birds btw, just what I observed. When they hit the window hard it can take up to an hour sometimes. And they seem to always do that same thing. Like hyperventilating, this empty stare and well, you just think that it's over. You almost want to give it mercy. But most of them in that situation make it. They just fly off as if nothing happened. Did it a lot, had to watch out that the doggs didn't get it first. Ike was unconscious killer, birds just don't play like frenchies do. Oh, and I took the bus for years, either had to pass the church or wait at the busstop next to it depending what bus I needed. If not maintained well, those church towers atract a lot of pigeons.
