What to feed an injured baby sparrow that fell out of nest? [I Help Animals]

We don't have cat/dog food we can soak in water.

Will cereal (cornflakes) dipped in water do? Do we just leave the food in the D.I.Y. bird house? I'm worried it'll attract ants.

UPDATE: A poultry expert taught me that babyfood (i.e. cerelac) works when fed to the bird through syringe. Just a tip in case you experience something similar.

Turned out baby birds couldn't eat bird seed nor could they eat on their own just yet. They have to be fed.

When you say injured what exactly do you mean?

I raised the baby Robin sometime back and was told to feed it hard-boiled egg yolk mixed with a little water. We used a popsicle stick to feed it with. It requires a lot of feeding throughout the day. Eventually we weaned it onto earthworms. After several months we released the bird. Birds are to be free…
