apparently bears are the voldemort of northern europe.
nobody knows what the real, original name for bears was. something connected to, or used ursus/ursa as part. all the other varients across all the other languages are shortenings of stand ins. e.g. 'the brown one" or "honey eater'. the real name fell out of favor with people thinking saying the name would summon one.
