Not saying it wasn't their fault. It was.
Yet this is as well a society problem. When a society gives no options, there's a problem as well.
We have this problem here in this area. The shelters are killing the pets, in droves. Despite state laws. 😢
Part of the problem is still the cost of spade or neutering. Other parts is the lack of ability to care for the animals in both home and shelters. Like medical care.
When you have a society based on greed, that becomes a problem with everything.
Even with kids.
Now ask yourself would you let a pet roam free, with the possibility of someone picking it up? Or just let it be killed?
Tough situation. Yet responsibility plays a role even in that. How they did that was as well wrong.
