This drives me to rage. [I Hate Animal Cruelty]

I once had to go work in Oman and I saw local people using donkeys on a construction site to carry loads that made me sick with pity and rage. The loads being carried were so disproportionate to the bodies of the animals carrying them. And the wounds on their backs on the return journey were a thing of horror.

People seemed to find it funny that I was concerned. I don’t think I’ve ever harboured a hatred of strangers as much as I did that day.

@TexChik Exactly. In Dallas it would be considered unnecessarily cruel. But that appears to be a Western sentiment. These guys would climb out if their air conditioned 4x4s clock in and kick around a donkey from the collection point to the site for 8 of the hottest hours of the day.
