If he was once someone's cat he'll probably warm up to you fairly quickly. Keep your distance and don't try to handle him for a while and let him accept you on his terms.

@newjaninev2 guess I have to see because he didn't come in , I'm going to buy some cat food today though in case he comes back both my kids have a cat so it won't be wasted
