I never thought of this, although I should have

I’m reading a novel, Relic, by Lincoln and Childs.

In the course of the narrative, they are discussing an animal that, to the knowledge of the scientific world, does not exist.

They talk about a dog’s sense of smell, far superior to man’s. They hypothesize that a dog may “see” the landscape through its nose in the detail and beauty that humans see with their eyes.

Maybe I’m the only one who never thought of this.
