Friends in need.

In 2023 Roscoe, a 3 year old orangutan, lost his parents and he wouldn't eat and didn't respond to medical treatment. The vets thought he might die from a broken heart.
The zookeepers found an old sick dog on the grounds in the park at the zoo where the orangutan lived and took the dog to the animal treatment centre. The dog arrived at the same time Roscoe was there being treated.

The two lost souls met and have been inseparable ever since. Roscoe found a new reason to live and each of them always tries his best to be a good companion to his newfound friend. They live in north California where their favourite pastime is swimming.

Although Roscoe is afraid of the water and needs his friend's help to swim, together they have discovered the joy and laughter in life and the value of true friendship.

@JamesBugman Yes, he knows it's nothing like another dog or a human carer. I think the orangutan should me monitored with him and not left alone.

Apes are so interesting. I love all the gorilla videos of the silverbacks just being dads and fooling around with the kids XD

We really shouldn't keep those guys in Zoos

@GermanAf No, we shouldn't. Maybe just for conservation in helping them return to the wild because their numbers are dwindling. And poaching and hunting should certainly be banned in this day and age.
Doggy looks a little unsure in that last picture. Cute story.
