Blue whales are just ridiculous. Look at the comparison! It’s like you need to send a telegram for the head to talk to the tail. Most of them will never see land or the ocean bottom. This living mini-city just swimming and swimming.

They have an interesting quirk when their DNA gets damaged (usually the two strands tear). The Whale DNA repairs itself properly.

When human DNA gets damaged, it jams itself together in a desperate attempt at repair. Sadly, this is not a good repair and when that DNA replicates itself, it can cause cancerous growths.

Scientists are studying what makes the Blue Whale's DNA repair itself so beautifully in the hope that we can benefit from the Whales' natural ability.

I doubt blue whales care whether we understand them or not.
