I've never particularly liked pigeons until a very persistent one took a liking to me. He follows me outside, waits at the door, and peers at me through the window. I didn't feed him for a long time, as I didn't want to encourage him. Now I give him some bird seed and cake. I am very fond of him now.
Pigeons and doves are symbols of love and commitment (just watch a bonded pair grooming each other and try and say that's not love!), and so many of us treat them like pests.
And to be fair, they can be annoying eating all the seedlings in your garden, or leaving you a messy present in return. And they often seem to go through life completely bewildered by everything... (which is, perhaps rather sweet)
But regardless they are the most devoted, sweetest, most caring birds there are (I think). Bless you abundantly. You're a beautiful human being and I'm sure Bob knows at some level just how lucky he is <3
hi bob 🤗....we have your kind here too but it's a 10k fine if we feed you anywhere near the subway station....lol people still feed them and when i point to the sign they stop.
tesla never married but had a pigeon he referred to as 'the love of his life' and that 'he loved as deeply as any man ever loved a woman', so they must have something going on for them.
