Do you agree with Wales banning Greyhound racing

I have heard of dogs being put down when they are past there best.And worse ,heard of one owner throwing dogs into the sea

Seems fairly pointless since the dogs can be taken to race in England.
I wasn’t even aware we still had any greyhound tracks.

So protecting them is pointless ?????

@TheSirfurryanimalWales A good point - that is likely what will happen. Though uncommon there are indeed still greyhound tracks in England.

@pdockal Ah, "protecting" them I think another matter. Obviously the dogs should be treated properly when away from the tracks anyway, and that is one of the questions about racing them.

The actual races only exploit the animals' instincts as predators, but can result in seriuous accidents to them, and can encourage their being treated just as commercial property valueless unless consistently winning races.

What does having tracks on england have to do with any place else ?

Ultimately the practice needs to stop but i doubt it will because humans are cruel & greedy

@ArishMell

Why is that another matter ?????
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@pdockal I don't see the problem being the racing per se, but how the animals are treated. However I accept the racing business will influence the treatment.

I would prefer the "sport" to end though.

@ArishMell

Then why are you arguing with me ??
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@pdockal ?? I wasn't "arguing". I simply saw the same problem from another angle.

@ArishMell

If you think so
