Seems fairly pointless since the dogs can be taken to race in England.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales A good point - that is likely what will happen. Though uncommon there are indeed still greyhound tracks in England.

@pdockal Ah, "protecting" them I think another matter. Obviously the dogs should be treated properly when away from the tracks anyway, and that is one of the questions about racing them.
The actual races only exploit the animals' instincts as predators, but can result in seriuous accidents to them, and can encourage their being treated just as commercial property valueless unless consistently winning races.
