What is a kitty cat's life like if a vet treats him for a broken leg?

I see crate rest with a splint or cast for mild fractures. Otherwise, surgery is the ultimate answer.

My cat is an elderly kitty. I don't want him in a crate.. I want him happy.

Does anyone have experience with a broken bone?


For the record, I don't know if it's broken. I'm just thinking it could be... I guess.
