@DogMan There's no such thing as a "nanny dog" a sound can set pitbulls off. Plenty of people raise them right and they snap, I don't want to hear the bullshit
@Rolexeo Do you have any personal experience with them? At one time we had 40 pit bulls and pit bull mixes at Rocky Dog Ranch. All of them were adopted out to families, we have not had one problem in 10 years of rescuing and finding homes for bully breeds. I understand people that are scared of Bully breeds. But please remember, ALL DOGS CAN BITE!
@DogMan I'm sorry but statistics far outweigh your anecdotes and misinformation. If you leave your baby alone with a dog then you're just a bad parent and an idiot.
@Rolexeo Oh, so now we are talking about ALL dogs? Got it! You must be young, people used to leave kids alone all the time. If they had a good dog that protected them, well thats even better..
@Rolexeo Why does it seem like pit bulls are the most dangerous dog breed? One breed that has the worst reputation is the Pit Bull. These dogs are often considered dangerous pets because of razor-sharp teeth and incredibly strong jaws. But are Pit Bull bite statistics accurate?
A Pit Bull’s average bite strength is about 235 pounds per square inch (psi), and they make the top of the list for the highest number of fatal bites. However, many experts believe this isn’t necessarily because the Pit Bull is more aggressive but because its bite is more powerful than many other dogs.
They receive a bad rap because they’re often used in dog fighting, which can lead to them being seen as a more dangerous breed. It’s important to note that these dogs are usually trained to be aggressive. All dogs are individuals, and not all Pit Bulls are dangerous. According to a recent study, irresponsible ownership is the cause of most aggressive behavior in any dog.
Overall, the evidence does not support the idea that pit bulls are more dangerous than other breeds of dogs. Of course, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be cautious with them. You should be careful with your interactions with any dog, especially if you are not the owne
@Rolexeo I did. did you read what I posted? There are more Pit Bulls in the US than any other breed, because of that, and the power in their bite, skews your statistics. Do you believe that if a few are trained to be aggressive, that it makes them all aggressive? That aggressive behavior was trained out of them a 100 years ago. You can train the aggressiveness out of a dog, the same way you can instill it in a dog.
@DogMan They're something like 20x more likely to snap. More likely to snap than every other breed combined. There's not 20x more pitbulls here than other breeds. They're less than 6% of the dog population in the U.S.
@Rolexeo 20 Times!!! LOL, That is total Bull Shit! Made up by someone that is terrified of bully breeds. Probably someone that cannot tell the difference between American Pittbulls, Staffordshire Bull terriers, AmStaff Terriers, Staffawler, and a host of others terriers that have "THE PITBULL LOOK" There are more Pitbulls in America than any other breed 18 million + And that does not include millions of other breeds and cross breeds that "LOOK" like pit bulls.
@DogMan Ok, that more than makes up for all the children who have either been killed or had their faces ripped off by them. Do you want some picturesor will you keep trying to manipulate peoples emotions?
@Rolexeo I just read a new article the other day, and thought about you. It was a list of the kindest breeds. Pitbulls were # 3 after Labs, and Great Danes
@Rolexeo Hey, I wasn't the professional that wrote the article, but I agree with it.
I love all dogs the same. I have had well over 100, and none of the worst ones were pit bulls. I make a point of petting every Pit Bull I see, in order to help get people to see how sweet they are.
