Mother chimp reunited with newborn

This mother chimp, in a zoo in Kansas, gave birth to a baby via an emergency C-section. The newborn was having problems breathing so it was moved in to a special care unit for two days.

This is when they were reunited. Good stuff.

@Ynotisay wow, that's quite an experience. Knowing what I know, I would never get anywhere near a full grown chimp. They belong in the wild.

@Ynotisay In general, I think it's a bad idea for humans to try to interact with any wild animal unless it's absolutely necessary.

@SW-User Totally agree. I'm around them a fair amount. The less human interaction the better. I read stories of people being attacked because they don't have any respect. Can't feel too bad for those folks. Wild animals aren't people.
