Silverbacks makes it easier for you to not get attack. Eye contact
SilverBack Gorillas have a way to display their strength without looking at the Audience. As you can tell the Silverback made sure to not look at the Crowds to prevent any further Eye contact.
Eye Contact with a Silverback is a sign of Aggressive Threat to them. It's probable that a Silverback won't retaliate but their Behavior will change. Not a Good sign and it means you are a threat and don't even cross that line.
Any further Contact will get into a Dangerous situation.
There was a man back in early 1900's who visit the Mountains Gorillas in Africa Congo. All it takes is less experience with a Gorilla and disrupting their presence will result to death. A silverback once grabbed him and Ripped his head off with ease and threw it out in the Forest.
I believe this is the only human death recorded by a Silverback Gorilla.
