I suppose they were in the front window or that little guy had great eyes to spot it. Between that and how he kept getting in, is what mystifies me the most.馃

@antonioioio I couldn't have said it better. An animals love is one without measure, nor condition. It's truly all giving and they can still love with their whole hearts even after facing considerable neglect and abuse. It's both heartbreaking and heartwarming.鉂ｏ笍

And in his defense, dogs don't normally know the difference between stealing or not. Even if he DID, I think most people who set foot (or paw) in Dollar General are there to rip off stuff anyways.

And no, he didn't know the difference. Animals don't know right from wrong in [b]those types of situations[/b]. I think labeling it as such was for notoriety and humor purposes.馃槈
@Mamapolo2016 Yes! All they could come up with is that his previous owners gave him one or something similar, so it reminded him of home. Still though, you'd think they'd have claimed him by being on the news. I think they probably had a child with one themselves, and that they were probably close with each other before they dumped him off somewhere. Sigh.
@Peaches My guess is his owners dropped him off somewhere as if he were garbage. I'd also bet you they had a child with a stuffed unicorn in which they were close to and that's why it was so pertinent to get it. If his family really loved him, they would've come forward with all the news coverage. At least he got a good home though. 馃槉馃檹鉂わ笍
@Peaches That's just it. He had to been abandoned because they didn't. Otherwise, they could have claimed him if perchance he had been missing and they cared. Therefore no charges would've/could've been made. Not to mention, nobody had filed a claim regarding a dog matching his description beforehand. 馃槈
That is a beautiful story, glad it all had a wonderful ending and the little guy got a new home and someone got a beautiful friend with a lot of heart and personality
@caPnAhab I wondered that myself. I also wondered if they decided to keep the program going. I hope so because shelter life is extremely hard on them. I know that well myself.馃ズ
