When I first adopted my dog she was afraid to go out alone at night but she also couldn't hold her bladder all night. So I would take her out and stay with her. One night there was an owl sitting on the fence and I just caught him out of the corner of my eye when the next thing I know he was right there swooping down trying to pick up my dog. Couldn't do it because she is a big girl. She is brown and white and I guess the owl saw the white fur and thought it was a mouse. Anyways, I screamed the dog jumped and then she wouldn't go out again at night for two weeks.

I used to live out in the country and would see them. They're kinda creepy up close. @curiosi
