Hi my friend, .....the thing about your concept of a true God is that it's an idol of your own making. We cannot create our realities. There is the true God and yes, He IS love, but He is Holy and Just too.
True religion is loving Him and our neighbors, and that includes taking care of those less fortunate. Sadly, the world sees a lot of finger wagging, hard hearts, people shouting down people, political pushing, wacky and absurd theater.....my friend, the witness of man will in no way delegitimize God. Jesus Christ still died on the cross to save whosoever shall come to Him to receive forgiveness of sins. That is God's love and mercy for you and I. Please consider this seriously. Millions of people are walking around relying on "what works for them.".....again, we cannot create our own realities. You rightly know that there is a Being that created and controls the universe. His name is Jesus Christ, the express image of God the Father. But you have to get past that hurdle that keeps many from coming to Him, and that is the issue of sin....
I am not better than you, no. I am a sinner saved by the amazing grace and mercy poured out on the Christ on the cross and I just want you to know that through His love, this mercy and grace is available to you too!
