I Am Agnostic

(Part two)
And that was when I realized that him and I had two very different opinions on spirituality.
The God I grew beside encouraged my individuality and showed me how beautiful everything in the world was. My brother wanted to limit that view. He believed that everything must be conformed to one culture within a church. I know he doesn't stand for all Christians, but it still opened my eyes. To continue to further myself in the religion, all things there forth would have to be stifled and cleansed for it to partake in my Christian life. I finally found the Christian Community I was looking for years and I didn't like it. I didn't fit in.

So many things lead up to this. I saw my friends conquer battles that the Church said you couldn't do without Christ. Homosexuality relationships that were beautiful, but the text had said was evil. The God I grew to knew and worship had another plan for me. I still believe their is a higher power out there.
I'm coming into this life ready to wreck all that I've ever known and ever will know.
Truth is subjective and if anything claims to know all, knows nothing. The bible knew nothing of the cultures it would pass through and knew not of the thousands of perspectives one could gain. I am more myself than I ever was.

Reading books by Bart D Ehrman will give you a good perspective on all the mistakes and contradictions that are in the Bible. Books by Robert A Monroe give some insight into modern spirituality...
