Sober for 5 years this year

This isn’t a sad story. I don't need anyone to feel bad for me. I do appreciate the thought but it isn't necessary

I often read stories about people feeling fragile many years after they quit drinking. Those are the people who we should feel bad for.

I have been delivered from all of that. No temptations, no regrets and no feeling weak. I've enjoyed every second of my freedom from addiction.

Incidentally, I will also be 3 years clean from cocaine at the same time. Another reason to smile.

Proud of you. That kind of peace doesn’t come easy. Also, good to see you.

You have all the reasons to smile, this is indeed a happy story. Also welcome back, Irish man.

It is the greatest achievement I've made. Even where I am now pales in comparison to figuring that problem out

@Youwereexpectingajoke I’m sure it is, addictions are very difficult to overcome. But you did it. And also achieved many other great things in life. Ok, that’s enough niceness for the day.

If nothing else, my escapades have provided an unlimited source of entertaining stories for the people of Oxford 😅

That’s great. Definitely should be proud.
