Alcohol treatment process

Has anyone on here gone through treatment. Have a girl of a deceased friend who took a lyft here, age 31 who is severely alcoholic. Inemployed, no insurance, no money and needs help. Treatment centers don't exist if you don't have money. So what's the process? No medication here. Just ween them off or stop cold turkey? She has tremors and can have seizures if she doesnt drink. Got some hot chocolate and vitamins in her but that's it so far. I put the bottle of vodka she brought out of reach and the last time she begged for a shot i watered it down half way. She downed the first bottle in a day. Found the empty. No idea she brought anything.

DO NOT try and have her stop drinking cold turkey. Alcohol is the only drug that can kill a person when trying to stop cold turkey. She needs to be in a hospital where they can ween her off of the alcohol and monitor her while she "drys out."
I'm not kidding when I tell you she can die without medical treatment and being under the supervision of a doctor.

Take her to the ER, they will help her.

@WaryWitchWandering so, what is the actual process? Sit and drink pedialyte, throw up, repeat?
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Tastyfrzz no. If someone is actually physically dependent on alcohol, they need medical assistance to quit

Pedialyte may help a hangover, but it’s not gonna fix DT
