Am I alcoholic..?

My both parents had alcohol issues.. i have difficulties understanding if my friends are just social drnkers or have alcoholic issues..
I used to consider myself social drinker.. I drunk
Every night..
One night I drunk too much and smoke some green.. and after 4 cocktails and 2 joints.. i thought is good idea to lay down on the floor. And world was spinning around and i just couldn’t get up.. my pets were climbing all over me and i made a selfie… I looked awful.. i felt pretty awful.. I finally dragged myself up from floor and threw up.. that was the last time I drunk for 4 months … and today I drink again.. and I feel I might have a problem..

That's something no one can tell you except a physician.

I want to point out that alcoholism is not a medical term. It's a colloquialism to refer to severe alcohol use disorder. The actual medical term is Alcohol Use Disorder.

Speak with a physician and therapist about your concerns . There's a test called the AUDIT test that's fairly accurate and will tell you whether you have an AUD or not.

Bear in mind, there's no one size fits all solution to addiction. It also depends, if you have an addiction, how severe it is. If it's mild, you could easily cut back with CBT and therapy. If it's severe, abstinence might be wise.
