I Am An Alcoholic

I have been sober for 7 days and 22 hours now...today, at this moment I am having one of my most strongest urges to go get a drink.. For those of You that understand, Can you please give me some encouragement to stay strong at this moment?

@Hecate different for different people I have friends who claim the cravings went quickly... Me I was 9 months until I began to feel them go. But they will go I hardly ever have a thought or craving now

@Hecate Yes. I'm ten years sober. It wasn't easy, but it was, and is, so worth it.

@SW-User wow, that's awesome..did you go through it alone?

@Hecate I found that support is vital. I couldn't imagine doing it without supportive people.

But, I also realize,in the end, I am what's keeping me sober.

It works for me.
