I Am An Alcoholic

Hello, BlackSheep.
I just read your two posts about your drinking. They seemed somewhat different from each other.
It sounds like you might have some kind of skirmish going on between you and Mr. Booze. Love hate relationship, maybe.
I am 69, and I've been sober for 39 years. I drank from 18 to 30, full speed ahead, and ended with good ole vodka. I was very sick and I went to a detox, very earthy, and purged myself of it. I was lucky, and I saw guys in there who'd been 5 or 6 times, and I said I don't want to do this again.
Anyway, if you'd like to talk about it, I would be pleased to listen to you.
Having been where I've been, I do not judge, and I do not preach.
Tell me what you like, and I'll tell you about what happened to me so long ago.
