Today marks 1 year of my sobriety. The last two weeks have been an emotional roller coaster as my mind has been replaying every event from last April.
The evening of April 13th, 2023 I needed to make a change for myself. A change for the better. This would be a test.
The following day my wife dropped the bomb on me that she wanted a divorce. Now I had two major obstacles hitting me and this, in my mind, would be the end of me.
Three moments of falling into a deep darkness, but here I am today.

It’s been 207 days for me since I cut or starved myself. I can’t believe it’s been that long. This is honestly the longest that I’ve gone since I left the long term ward over 5 1/2 years ago.
You play guitar? Man, I wished I still had my old guitar or keyboard. Be fun to jam or just play something again. I'm real rusty though. I should get back into it. 🤣
I bet I can still play Linus and Lucy on the keyboard at least. Lol
