Have you ever dealt with, or known anyone who was dealing with sex addiction or hyper sexuality?

Addiction sounds too much for my case but I used to struggle with excessive sexual thoughts in my early 20s. It wasn't anyone else's problem than mine though. I was in art school and at the time when my creativity was supposed to bloom and shape into useful, meaningful forms, all I could think of was smut. Nothing else interested me no matter how much I knew I should have focused on something else.
