Pros and cons of spending
As tonight have ushered in a new sort of environment here and in the mental state, i'd like here to sort out some further thoughts.
Normally every month i make an order, spending itself is addictive.
As i have settled down just before the sun rises, i read a bit of my books, books is something i want more of, but it's staring right at my face - there is enough as it is.
For films, in this environment i can only watch one film a night. It has to be dark, and it has to be on the good tv, which is a shared television.
There is not as enough of films as there are books here, however there is enough.
It wouldn't be according to the master plan to actually run out of things to watch and read before getting more.
Many of the things are self replenishing products, that could be spent fruitfully on indefinitely.
Spending is the addiction, that is the thing. Spending, and the excitement that getting something new affords a dopamine type of chemical occurence.
Understanding, in the Krishnamurti sense is the most effective cure to a problem, and calling it a problem is a problem, it must be seen in such a way that it evaporates.
And on a more human level of facts, if the spending disease can be solved, the bank account balance can grow, in order to leave something behind.
The dual pronged effect of wise decisions is that at first it's something one doesn't want - denying the self, but out of that springs forth renewed enjoyment of that which is already in my possession.
So, without saying a definite yes or no, i post this in the hope that it furthers my indecision into a state of wonder towards a bright future, whether that means more stuff, or not now or later. What matters is the quality of each second breathed and exhaled.
