Should I just straight up tell someone when I’m interested in getting to know them?

I worry about coming off as a creep, because I’m sure they all say the same before letting loose with their perversions. But in my case, I genuinely do want to know them. I’ve yet to be disappointed with anyone I’ve took an interest in that allowed me to know them. 🥹
