Met my soon-to-be boss who’s soon-to-be my bf’s former boss today

One of Desmond’s supervisors at his groundskeeping job landed the open manager position in my department and will soon be new second boss either next week or the week after. During mine and Desmond’s lunch break, Des introduced me to him. We shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. He seems nice! Desmond has had nothing but positive things to say about him, and after meeting him, I can say first impressions are definitely very positive. He’s gonna have his work cut out for him with the end-of-year craziness that happens every year at my job, but if this guy can be a lead in groundskeeping for as long as he has, I’m sure he can handle truckloads of packages and mail at my procurement job. At any rate, I’m looking forward to working with him.
