It鈥檚 horrible when it gets you. You have my sympathy.
Not sure anything really works for me.
I generally have a hot water bottle(although many recommend an ice pack !)
Paracetamol and Codeine tablets every four hours or so; and if you can get up and move around that鈥檚 better than laying so I鈥檓 told
