I don't think I could handle being a dad

People at work (usually parents) tell me I'm "so good with [their] kids" and that I'm patient with them, but I don't think I could handle doing it all the time. It's much easier with someone else's child.

That said, there is a part of me that wishes I could be a dad still. But I'm getting older and usually if it hasn't happened by now it's unlikely it ever will, and I have to be OK with that.

You still have plenty of time to become a dad if that's what you want. You just have to put some work into it re a woman.

@KiwiDan = When people become parents their personalities and behaviors change, usually for the better. It is all part of basic animal behavior.

If you want to play 20 questions, ask your own parents and other parents how their behaviors changed when they became parents. Some may beat around the bush but others might be more forthright.

There's too many people on the planet as it is and most marriages end in divorce, so don't feel pressured to have a child. Having a child should always be something you're 100% sure of, and if you're wealthy and in stable committed relationship.

@GeistInTheMachine it would require a woman to want me which isn't happening anyway lol

@KiwiDan Having a woman want you is doable depending on your Will, circumstances and how much sacrifice/effort you're willing to put in.

Sustaining the relationship is very hard.

Having a child AND raising them successfully is... even harder.
